In This tutorial I'll show you how to make a vortex effect easily with filters : Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Filter

Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Step1
Now goto File>New ( Any size you want )
Press "D" To reset foreground to black and the background to white.
Now cover the image in black ( there are many ways to do this but I'll go with the easiest
Without touching ANY colours, click on the paint bucket icon
Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Paintbucket
Or simply by pressing "G". Then just click once on the canvas(image).

Now go to Filter>Render>Lens Flare...
Position the flare in the middle of the image
with these settings :

Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Step3
Now go to Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap and use these settings
Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Plasticwrap
Now go to Filter>Distort>Twirl and apply it with these settings

Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Step4
Now we have to add some colour, (CTRL U) at this point you can follow what I did or just do whatever you think looks cool
Here are my colour settings

Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Step5

This is the final step and hardest one I'll keep it as simple as possible
Ok duplicate the layer by pressing "CTRL J" and setting the layer mode to "Colour dodge"
Vortex Tutorial : Begginer level Colourdodge

Well thats it.
You can experiment with filters for more fun!
The key to photoshop is Practice , Patience , Effort and more Practice.
Keep in mind this took awhile so don't diss.

That was to get used to filters..
Next will be layers ( Layers are the hardest thing , maybeh brushes cuz your not really being "directed" on what to do with them.)
Oh yeah Frit wants photoshop so he could try that ;P
For people asking , yes I made all of those images.
It took a hell lot of time.

Well you could torrent that , but it needs a Key to run. Well theres a keygen for that but I am really clueless about that stuff , ask Falcoren/Fritter they know a shit lot about that stuff.
